Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle growth and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweed, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Doberman-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Doberman. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Doberman belongs. Based on this research, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, we have selected ingredients that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Doberman.

Basil

Basil is a genus in the mint family. The name comes from Ancient Greek, where "basileus" means king; therefore, an alternative name is king's herb. It originally occurs between central Africa and Southeast Asia.

According to traditional medicine, basil was used to treat conditions such as arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart disease, and stomach aches. Research has shown that basil possesses strong antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, aid in waste removal, and have antispasmodic and calming effects on dogs.

Mango

The mango belongs to the genus *Mangifera* and probably originated in northeastern India and Southeast Asia. It is a drupe with varying shapes and grows on a tree that can reach a height of 40 meters.

This delicious summer treat is packed with essential vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamins A, B6, C, and E, and is rich in potassium, beta-carotene, and alpha-carotene. Furthermore, mangoes contain a lot of healthy dietary fiber that contributes to strengthening the immune system and aiding digestion. The natural antioxidant (vitamin C) helps support vital bodily functions. Vitamin A is full of beta-carotene, which can help maintain and improve eyesight.

We add mango to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting the dog's immune system and healthy digestion. In addition, mango can support the dog's eyesight.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the hand apples, well-known especially in the Northern Hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fiber has a multifaceted function in the digestive tract. It is able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Furthermore, dietary fiber increases the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures thorough elimination of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support a healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C supports muscle and bone development during the early years.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you choose the right Dobermann dog food from our range, please use the following guidelines. If your Dobermann is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Dobermann older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Dobermann Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Nutritional advice

Transfer advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. Allow your dog two days to adjust. Next, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. Again, allow your dog two or three days to adjust. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. Your dog is now almost completely switched over to Yourdog. Do this for two days. After this, you can feed 100% Yourdog Dobermann dog food at your own discretion.

Storage instructions

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it's important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It's best not to put the food loose in the container, but to place the entire bag, tightly closed, inside.
